With the threat of retirement looming in less than 4 years, we have went on a budget (yucky word for a shopoholic like me) The best thing we have found is paying cash. We figured out how much things were, and put that amount in the envelope, when the money is gone, then we are done. It has really helped with all the fast food, and I am watching more closely what we are getting at the commissary. We are doing pretty good, and the money going into savings makes me sleep better at night!

So so cute! I want to make one! Retirement is possibly 5 years down the road for us too. Can you imagine life not active duty??
GREAT idea! With the economy as it is, we've been paying with cash more these days too...but retirement is sadly several years away for us!
